RESERVATION Information

  • How do I make a reservation?

    To check availability, you can search for units online under "Pick Condo" or to make a reservation you can contact us via telephone at 808-946-0716 M-F between 8am-4:30pm HST. You may also email us at info@marinahawaiivacations.com If you're calling outside of the USA, please use our toll-free number at 866-976-6518 For any inquires less than 5-nights or over 6 months, please contact a reservation agent for assistance in making a reservation.

  • When is the deposit and final payment due?

    A 20% deposit of the total rental fee is required at the time of booking in order to secure the reservations. We accept all major credit cards for payment and the final payment is due 30-nights prior to the renters arrival.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    •A Non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental fee plus a reservation fee of $50 must be received to confirm a reservation.

    •Any request to cancel a reservation 30 or more days prior to arrival will result in the loss of the deposit and $50 reservation fee.

    •Full payment of the rental balance plus related fees are due no less than 30 days prior to the check-in date.

    •Any request to cancel a reservation inside of 30-days prior to arrival will result in the loss of your deposit, remaining balance and all applicable fees. No exceptions.

TRANSPORTATION & Parking Information

  • Is there a shuttle from the airport?

    Yes. The Waikiki Airport Shuttle Bus operates 24/7. Taxi fare to and from Honolulu International Airport is approximately $40-$50 each way (Subject to change). The shuttle bus does not take advance reservations from the airport into Waikiki. Look for the big sign that says "Waikiki Airport Shuttle" outside baggage claim and wait for it to arrive. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes but wait times can be up to an hour depending on traffic. It's recommended that you take a taxi into Waikiki if your flight is scheduled to arrive after 10pm since traffic is minimal at this hour. If you're using the same shuttle to go back to the airport please call 24 hours prior to departure. The shuttle driver or dispatcher should have given you a ticket when they picked you up at the airport. Please call the number on the back of the ticket to schedule your return to the airport.

  • How Much is Parking?

    Ilikai Hotel: $45 per day; valet only, in & out privileges, overnight included Rates are subject to change without advance notice. Please contact Elite Parking for more details at 808-734-7559.   • What time is check in and check out?

    Check in: 4 PM Check out: 11 AM

  • What if I arrive early?

    Check in time is 4 pm. We will do our best to get your unit ready prior to 4 pm. If an early check in is not available, you can store your luggage with the Bell Desk at the Ilikai Hotel for a fee. If you must have an early check in we recommend that you rent the unit the day before your scheduled arrival date.

  • What about late check-outs?

    We do not guarantee late check outs. Please contact us 24 hours prior to departure to inquire about a late check out. If available, late check-outs will be charged at a rate of $10 per hour. Should a late check out is not available, the Bell Desk at the Ilikai Hotel can store your luggage for a nominal fee.

  • Where/How do I check-in?

    We offer contactless check-in for Ilikai Tower and Ilikai Marina. You will receive an email from our office with check-in information one week prior to your arrival. Please ensure that our office has your current email address. For Discovery Bay and other properties: You may visit us at our office on the lobby level of Ilikai Tower during our business hours of Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm to pick up the keys. If you are arriving outside of office hours, we will put your keys in a lock box located outside of our office. The lockbox code will be emailed to you one week prior to arrival. Please note that the Ilikai Hotel front desk is not affiliated with Marina Hawaii Vacations.

  • What type of units do you have?

    Ilikai Hotel

    All 1-bedroom units are large studios. Some units have a sliding divider that separates the living area and bedroom. The 1-bedroom units have 500 square feet of living space with a 120 square foot lanai. All 2-bedroom units have 2-bathrooms and they have 1000 square feet of living space with (2)-120 square foot balconies.

    Ilikai Marina

    All Studios have a mountain view. Each studio has 455 square feet of living space with a small lanai. All 1-bedroom units have a yacht harbor view with 683 square feet of living space and a small balcony.

    Discovery Bay

    Studios have ocean and mountain views. Each studio has 464 square feet of living space and no balcony. 1-bedrooms have ocean and mountain views. Each 1-bedroom has 683 square feet of living space with an 87 square foot balcony. 2-bedrooms have ocean and mountain views. Each 2-bedroom has 1003 square feet of living space with a 128 square foot balcony. **Some units have enclosed lanais**

    Island Colony

    Studio units have ocean and mountain views. Each studio has 308 square feet of living space and a spacious 108 square foot lanai.

    Canterbury

    The 3-bedroom unit has ocean and mountain views. Approximately 3,000 square feet of living space and the unit includes washer + dryer and 2-assigned parking stalls.

  • Is the Ilikai Hotel the same as the Ilikai Marina?

    No. Ilikai Marina is a separate apartment building. The address for Ilikai Marina is 1765 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96815. The address for the Ilikai Hotel is 1777 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96815.

  • Do all units have sofa beds?

    No. Some units have sofa beds and some do not. Please contact a reservations agent for more information.

  • Which units have a sliding privacy wall?

    Please contact a reservations agent regarding units with sliding privacy dividers.

  • Is there air conditioning?

    Yes, all units have air conditioning. Due to the humidity in Hawaii, the air conditioner should not be lower than 72 degrees at any time.

  • Do the balconies have furniture?

    Ilikai Hotel: All units have table/chairs on the lanai. Ilikai Marina: There is no furniture on the balcony. Discovery Bay: All unit except studio condos have table/chairs on the lanai Canterbury: There is no furniture on the balcony. Island Colony: All units have table/chairs on the lanai

  • What is the cost for internet access?

    Ilikai Hotel: Free WiFi in the unit Ilikai Marina: Free WiFi in the unit Discovery Bay: Free WiFi in the unit Island Colony: Free WiFi in the unit Canterbury Place: Free WiFi in the unit

  • Is there a phone in the unit?

    Phone service is not guaranteed in the unit. If you need a unit with phone service, please contact a reservation agent prior to your arrival to see if the unit you booked has phone service. If phone service is not provided in the unit, it can be purchased for an additional cost.

  • What about mail service and deliveries to the units?

    Ilikai Hotel All units have mailboxes. A mailbox key can be obtained at our office for a $35 cash deposit. The deposit will be returned once we have received your mailbox key. Ilikai Marina All units have mailboxes and a key can be obtained at our office for a $35 cash deposit. The deposit will be returned once we have received your mailbox key. Discovery Bay All units have mailboxes and a key will be given to you upon your arrival. Island Colony No mail box available to guests Canterbury Place All units have mailboxes and a key will be given to you upon your arrival. *** If your unit does not have a mailbox your mail can be delivered to our office.   • Is there cleaning service during our stay?

    No. There is no cleaning service or towel exchange during your stay unless you request and pay for these services. We must receive 24 hours advance notice if you would like to receive any of these services.

  • Do the units come equipped with linens?

    Yes. All studios and 1 bedroom units come with 4 sets of bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths. All beds have linens and there is an extra set of linens for the sofa or sofa bed. 2 bedroom units have 6 sets of bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths.

  • Are there laundry facilities?

    Ilikai Hotel Shared credit card operated laundry facilities are on every floor. Ilikai Marina A shared credit card operated laundry facility is on the 8th floor. Hours of operation are 6am-11pm daily. Discovery Bay All units have washers and dryers. Island Colony A shared coin-operated laundry facility is on the 6th floor. Hours of operation are 8am-11pm daily. Canterbury Place All units have washers and dryers.

  • What toiletries are in the unit?

    All units come with a single-use tube of shampoo/conditioner, bath soap, dish soap, sponge for washing dishes, one roll of paper towels, and one additional roll of toilet paper. This is a starter kit only. If you need additional items, you must purchase your own for the duration of your stay.

  • Does the kitchen have plates, glasses, pans, etc.?

    Yes. Each kitchen has all the basics for you to cook meals. Each unit has plates, glasses, wine glasses, bowls, pots, pans, utensils, coffee machine, toaster, rice cooker, etc.

  • What condiments are in the kitchen?

    No condiments are left in any unit.

  • Is there a pool on each property that we can use?

    Ilikai Hotel: Yes Ilikai Marina: No Discovery Bay: Yes Island Colony: Yes Canterbury: Yes

  • Are towels provided at the pool?

    Ilikai Hotel Yes, towels are provided to all guests at the pool area. Towels are not allowed to leave the pool area or be taken to the beach. Discovery Bay There are no towels provided for guests in the pool area. Island Colony Yes, pool towels are available at the Front Desk. Canterbury Place There are no towels provided for guest in the pool area.

  • Are there beach items in the units?

    Beach chairs are sometimes left on lanais if guests leave them behind, but all other beach items are discarded. They start to smell like the ocean and we want your unit as fresh as possible. You can rent beach chairs all along the beach for a fee.

  • Is there a place to store my surfboard?

    No. If your surfboard is 11' or under you can use the bather's elevator to take your surfboard to your unit. No surfboards are allowed in the regular guest elevators.

  • Is there an ironing board and iron?

    Yes, all units have an ironing board and iron.

  • Is there a hair dryer in the unit?

    Yes, all units have a hair dryer in the unit.

  • Can I rent baby gear for my stay?

POLICIES

  • Are there smoking rooms? Can you smoke on the balcony?

    No. All units are non smoking. Association rules prohibit smoking in any unit or on any balcony. Guests' who are caught smoking in any unit or on any balcony are subject to a fine.

  • Can we BBQ on our balcony?

    BBQ's are prohibited on all balconies. However, every beach park has BBQ pits. The closest beach park is approximately two hundred yards away. Ilikai Hotel: No Ilikai Marina: No Discovery Bay: There is a BBQ area on the 5th floor. Island Colony: There is a BBQ area on the 6th floor. Canterbury Place: There is a BBQ area on the 11th floor.

  • How far is the beach?

    You can walk to the beach in approximately 2-3 minutes if you are staying at the Ilikai Hotel or Ilikai Marina. If you are staying at Discovery Bay, the beach is across the street. Island Colony: The beach is approximately a 5 minute walk away Canterbury Place: The beach is approximately a 15 minute walk away

  • Is the lagoon and beach open to the public?

    Yes. The Duke Kahanamoku lagoon is available to everyone. All beaches in the State of Hawaii are open to the public.

  • Can I book tours with the concierge?

    Yes. The Ilikai Hotel concierge can assist you with booking tours on the island.

  • How far is the Convention Center?

    You can walk to the Convention Center in 10 minutes.

  • Where is the nearest grocery store?

    There is a small grocery store in the lobby of the Ilikai Hotel or an ABC store directly across the street. Walmart & Don Quijote, are located behind the Ala Moana Shopping Center and is a 15 minute walk from the Ilikai Hotel, Ilikai Marina, or Discovery Bay. If you're walking, it's best to pay around $7 to have a taxi bring you and your groceries back. Taxi's are available from Ala Moana Center and Walmart.
